2021 Fiat 500e road test review - Fully Electric & Way Better Than Before

The all-new, all-electric Fiat 500e is a terrific little car, much better than the gas-powered 500 that it will replace in a few years' time. It is more comfortable, more maneuverable and far more technologically advanced too, all wrapped in a package that looks deceivingly similar to the previous generation model.

For practical reasons, I'd always choose the Fiat 500e over the Honda-e. Its range is much better AND it recharges much quicker. This is good for both the occasional vacation a bit further away (you'd lose so much time with the Honda-e that you don't with the Fiat) AND for people who can't charge at home, because it's worth so much if you have to charge once per week instead of two or three times. The Honda-e gives you _constant_ range anxiety, where with the Fiat 500e, you can just live with it.

A good review. The Fiat suits me because the mini is far too low and difficult to access, plus, the petrol one anyway, has a terrible ride. The Honda is likewise far too low. I want to get in and out of a car easily, sit up and see out, nothing else will do. Oh, and I’ve had some great little Fiats too. Another thing, the Fiat has a decent range. This is the only current car I’m even slightly interested in.

An excellent review thank you. But as usual not a true test as a right hand drive used. It seems to me that many European cars are not made for left hand drive but merely adapt the European version. So you get a small drivers foot well with pedals too close together and not far enough to the right so there is no space for a resting left foot and no left foot pad. Conversely the passenger has lots of foot and leg room. Not LOL as this is a serious fudge. I love the car but this will stop me buying it. Thank you SP
