I purchased a plant from someone on reddit and they live in Ireland. They went out and foraged their own SPHAGNUM moss from the forest and now grows it, exactly like you. The first TEO times I bought plants from them I threw it away! 😫 then, with very little left, I noticed how gorgeous the quality was and asked the seller. That's when they told me to propagate it. This moss isn't even brown! It's a beautiful off white & green!

Ive been propgating native moss in sphagnum moss and its happy but growing very slowly. I think Ill dump them and give them some soil, thank you for the tips!

The visitor was a common woodlouse (oniscus asellus) if anyone was curious. They are easy to keep and breed if anyone is interested in growing a colony

My fav method of propagating moss recently as been the "chop and drop"

I literally take moss, chop it up with scissors into fine bits, and sprinkle it in a terrarium or prop box. In a few weeks a carpet starts forming, and i'll have sheets i can use for all sorts of projects. Hoping soon to be able to use the spores somehow...

After a couple days of rain, many spots on the ground will have MOSS growing 😱😱😱 If you don't "rescue" them, the moss slowly dries and dies out until the next rain season comes back 😅
