The Pacific Is Packed with Carrier Strike Groups Right Now

This week, the USS Nimitz joined the Ronald Reagan and Theodore Roosevelt in the Navy's 7th Fleet Area of Operations.
It’s the first time that three carrier strike groups have operated in the western Pacific since 2007. All together the three ships represent 30 percent of Navy’s carrier force and combined, there carrying approximately 70 strike fighters.
