Cathay Pacific Premium Economy is better value than their business class in my opinion. The seat is amazing, the inflight entertainment is good, there is wifi, good food/catering and a nice inflight meal. Best way to describe a real premium economy is its most similar to a domestic first class seat, not just extra leg room but a wider seat and some add'l perks like priority check-in, meals, etc, but it all varies from airline to airline.

It's a huge upgrade from economy for sure. The price at times can be slightly more or outrageously more expensive though.

I flew in PE from Houston, Tx to Singapore with a 5 hour wait during our stop in Manchester. It was roomy and comfortable. In 2020 the round trip was $1, 800 usd, now its nearly double that price.

I'm 5'10" and flew on Cathay in 2004, before premium economy. it's the reason I haven't flown across the pacific again. I'm sure premium is better, but if I have to cross the pacific it's business or better

Premium economy of Cathay pacific was undeed the best! Seats were comfy very enough leg rooms and wide seat and lots of options and in flight services.
I'd would name it pre-business seat :)

In Europe the premium economy tickets are 100% more than a normal economy ticket. And that isn't a no brainer. But 20% more ist fair.

In New Zealand booking premium economy usually means paying 2.5x as much as a normal economy ticket, so a no brainer not to buy
