Straight Talk has started offering its first Verizon-compatible LTE smartphone, the ZTE Rapido LTE. A user has spotted the phone in Walmart store. The Rapido LTE (Z932C) hasn’t been listed on the carrier’s website yet but obviously will be soon. Straight Talk ZTE Rapido LTE costs $179.88, according to the image from Walmart store and to the Walmart’s website, where the phone is listed but out of stock.

In addition to 4G LTE connectivity, the ZTE Rapido LTE features a 4.5-inch (720×1280) display protected by Corning Gorilla glass, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1 GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and microSD card slot for additional memory expansion up to 32GB. It runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS and has 8-megapixel main camera with 1080p video capture and 1-megapixel front-facing camera. The Rapido LTE has Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi and GPS and its removable 2070 mAh battery provides up to 7 hours of talk time and up to 9 days of standby time.

ZTE Rapido LTE can be paired with Straight Talk’s unlimited prepaid service plans. The $45 unlimited plan includes unlimited talk, text and data with first 3GB at high speeds. The $60 unlimited international plan includes everything that $45 plan has in addition to 400 minutes of calling mobile numbers in Mexico, unlimited calls to 15 unique international landline numbers per month in 37 countries and international calling to landline and mobile numbers in Canada, China and India. Straight Talk throttles data to 2G speeds (around 64 Kbps) when high speed data limit is reached in a month.

Straight Talk is the second Verizon MVNO to start offering LTE. After Verizon has allowed access to LTE to its own prepaid customers in June this year, it’s been expected that its MVNOs will receive it as well. So far, only Page Plus Cellular has gained it but LTE speeds are limited to 3.5 Mbps down and 1 Mbps up. Now that Straight Talk is in the process of offering it, it shouldn’t be long before other MVNOs join.

You can order sim from Straight talk. Beware of the incompetence of the employees. It took 3 weeks. And I was without a phone for 4 days trying to port over number. They keep saying 24 hrs to wait. I think they lost my number as well

Let me edit. When I ordered sim they said I would have it in 2 days. Almost 3 weeks later it arrived. Then the porting night mare. And I talked to supervisor mellisa who said she has no employee number. That there is nothing she can do to activate my phone. Day 4 of no phone. Terrible customers service

I reviewed you're video, I see you left out some information. Why didn't you do a test call? Also I did the same thing, this ONLY works because all Verizon phones are unlocked that take a sim "4GLTE" The reason why it works is because of the APN settings, and your sim to Straight Talk and they are on ATT towers....

So how did you get past the activation screen on the Verizon phone? And get your Google account and everything like that set up? Or did you just turn the Verizon phone on and put the straight talk SIM card in?

Thats becaus traight talk uses verizon antennas so its the same lets say code that use straight talk an verizon

I put a sim card from my Straight Talk LG Access LTE (AT&T towers) in an unlocked phone i bought, and it I heard if you use a sim that came in a Straight Talk branded phone, and not from the sim kit for their BYOP (bring your own phone), it could look as though you are constantly tethering because that sim was made for that phone. Some of you may know tethering is against ST's frown upon it very much. lol

Don't quote me on this, but I wish i could get to the bottom of it.. I definitely prefer my unlocked phone, which is completely functional with the ST sim in it.

ay man do you know if it works the other way around? like a verizon sim card in a strait talk phone, and the verizon sim card is a prepaid account

I called straight talk and ordered an verizon sim. It took 2 weeks to arrive. I canceled the same day. Verizon max speeds are 5 mbps. Does anybody body else have speed test to share on straight talk verizon dual sim?
