I had an issue like this happen to me. I went to have blood test done and it came back that my testosterone was low. They put me on testosterone and I started getting extra facial hair. So I threw that out. I went back and the doctor found that my vitamin D was also low. As soon as I started taking 50, 000 units of vitamin D I began to regain strength and stopped feeling weak and needing naps every day. I also started going outside to get sunlight when I can because the sun is not out much due to rain here in Waco, Texas. I am now 5 months post this situation and feel almost completely recovered. My testosterone went up as well after taking the vitamin D. I have also been able to loose weight after about a year of staying the same. I am so glad you posted about this because most people don't like for others to know their struggles.

I would LOVE some more updates on this...THM helped me kick off close to 30lbs but then I stalled for a long time and I have been drinking at least a quart of coffee a day because I am so tired! Thinking this might help. Thanks for sharing <3

Have you ever looked into intuitive eating? It has truly changed my life. I started following you because I was also on THM and had also hit a stall. I found intuitive eating and am loving it.

Hi Nili, I read that book a month or so ago and like what he had to say about eating your carbs in the PM. I have also found that intermittent fasting (as in not eating from like 7pm till 7am) has helped me drop a few pounds this week (along with starting AltShift). I was constantly eating at night after dinner. Also, I have started my exercise in the morning before I eat my breakfasts. I didn't think I could do it and feel good but it's been great so far. I have found that I'm eating more carbs overall with the AltShift vs THM, I was only doing S meals (just easier). Carbs will definitely help! Good luck....healing from postpartum is tough.

Keep us updated. I have also been doing this type of carb cycling because my weight stalled and started going up on THM. I'd love to hear your experience.

I'm curious about what you said regarding the book's author saying that people on lower carb diets usually have higher blood sugars...Did he specify whether he was focusing on a Nutritional Ketosis diet (where protein is "adequate" - moderate/much lower than we've been told up to this point) or was he speaking to a low carb, high protein kind of diet? I do nutritional ketosis now and it's been my experience that my blood glucose levels are virtually nonexistent because I'm a ketone burner. I may have to check in to that book and read deeper for myself. Thanks for sharing, Nili!

"S" on "THM"? What is this you're talking about? For us who are new to this, these terms are unknown. :-)
