Polyester button up shirts are good. If you’re like me they are silky and do not wrinkle like cotton 😅

As a woman i can tell you everything about your face looks great. You are right on about nails. I always notice a man's hands and dirty nails are a deal breaker.

Great job James. So many of the younger guys require this guidance, and so many of the older men, need these reminders.
Self-care is an expression of self-love, and a reflection of self-esteem. Why not take excellent care of the armor that houses your soul?

It looks like you are using shoe polish cream on your shoes. With some brushing and even buffing, it will give you a moderate shine. You can up the shine with some shoe wax polish which has waxes in it. I use Saphir which seems to be the highest quality and has natural waxes. Kiwi uses petroleum waxes and smells like it. You can go one final step and get some Saphir Mirror Gloss and put a high shine on the toecap. There's a ton of videos on YouTube on how to mirror shine a shoe. These take some initial time, but after that, maintenance is just a couple of minutes.

Since buying a high quality steamer, I rarely ever iron and save a ton on time. Good tip on periodically checking the buttons - never thought of that one!

My friend! What a channel!!!! Keep up the great work brother and you will raise millions of subs! I hope you will raise millions that will follow your advice's because nowadays there are no real gentleman's. I keep rewatching Mad Men and realizing how different our generation is and how wrong we are doing almost everything.

I just hope that you will start developing more about the fragrance side of the gentleman since there are many people thinking that a gentleman should wear a ton of fragrance and choke everyone around or a 30-year-old guy should wear Versace Eros.

Thank you, Mister!

Another great, informative video...keep it up! A lot of young men, and even some older ones, have simply never learned grooming habits. I have a small straight-bladed electric trimmer instead of a rotary like you have. It pulls double duty on the nose and eyebrows and even has a dual-sided guard for keeping the eyebrow hair under control, although my stylist does a good job of that too. I also iron once a week, and for those who don't know how to properly iron then Real Men Real Style, the Gentleman's Gazette and The Chap's Guide all have videos on how to iron shirts and trousers to keep them looking sharp.

Hey man. In my eyes, you look 10x better on the bathroom footage. Consider different lighting for your recording setup, I feel like you can look much nicer and welcoming with the right light set up!

Great routine! I'm a bit deficient in the classic gentleman category when it comes to polishing, I've never done it so it intimidates me. I do condition my shoes, which I find to be easy and require almost no skill whatsoever. I've never thought to do a button check, that's good advice. All the rest of this I do, in some form or another, and I too don't particularly mind ironing. I don't look forward to it but we do have music and podcasts always available as you point out, and it's kind of satisfying smoothing out the wrinkles, and preparing your clothes for the week. Well, it's always a pleasure.

Can you do a video about what to wear at home? And maybe even to the gym?

I’m guilty of missing out on so many steps present in your routine template ! Nevertheless, I’d say I do have one routine day being Saturday, where I take better care of all my matters. I’d start the day slightly later, have a good breakfast before going to the gym, then head back to cook a nice lunch as I don’t have time for it on business days. After that, I take care of all urgent administrative work like bills and then it’s time for sauna session as we have a weekend time slot for the sauna in our building (I then use this time to watch my hair etc) :) !

Skincare is definitely something I’ve been lazy about but it’s better to start implementing now than being sorry later !

Your mention of ironing reminds me back when I worked as a tour leader for a tour operator: each evening as we arrived to our hotels with our customers, the last man to go to bed would be our bus driver ! Always ironing perfectly his white shirt for the next day, it’s an image that stayed in my mind as highly professional and sophisticated

I do all the things you mention, but I don’t have a routine. It kind of happens as needed. I can see your point, though, of being more meticulous about it to make sure nothing is missed.

The manscaping looked a bit too close for comfort to me 😂and thankfully most of us (especially we older gents) can get by with just trimming our eyebrows rather than plucking them! Seriously, here are some extra ones: 8.Keeping toenails trimmed to help prevent holes in socks; 9. Checking shirts for frayed collars and cuffs and jackets for tears and spill stains; 10. Ties can get dirty and damaged with wear, plus spill stains; 11. Launder clothes weekly and with care according to colours vs whites and specific fabric washing instructions.

I know this is pretty off-topic, but you've once mentioned a gentleman should wear messenger bag instead of a backpack, so the question is, should he wear it on shoulder, in hand or is it up to him?
