I remember when she debuted. I moved from the Philly area in 1993 for the west coast and missed here and the station very much.

Love this SO much and Michaela. I can still close my eyes any time and hear her voice and her wonderful laugh and will never forget the joy she brought to mornings.

LOVE MICHAELA!  I was engaged ON HER SHOW with my husband AJ in 1996.  It was such a great moment in my life, and Michaela helped make that happen.  Still married, with a son and a dog, all these years later!  We often talk about that day, with the ENIAC interview that turned into a proposal.  Thank you, Michaela, and XPN, for being such a large part of our lives!  Amazing woman!

I'll miss listening to Michaela but it's nice to have this little video to reference. I saw her every year at the Philly AIDS Walk, and for the first time meeting her at the Xponential Music Festival (FKA Singer-Songwriter Weekend) in 1993. Best wishes and much love always! --Mario

So strange to miss a person that I have never met, but has been a part of my everyday life for over 20 years. Can't wait to see what you do next!!! Best wishes!!!

Michaela was a friend. A casual friend, but a long term friend. She announced when my beloved and I went into the hospital to have our first child, 22 years ago. Me and my lads from Mambo Movers would show up at the old studio with racks of steaming pretzels from Center City Pretzel Bakery during fundraisers. She had me on as a guest DJ one time, to play 45s from a box I'd picked up at a flea market the week before. Yes, she was part of helping mold the sound that is associated with the station, but she was not part of the nightmare that Triple A formatting has since become there. She was always fresh. Always fun. Very, very much missed, yet like some Egyptian queen whose name was then chipped off of every obelisk and and temple by nasty lesser royalty after she left, her name is NEVER spoken on the air.
