Let's see what it takes to upgrade openSUSE Leap 15.5 to 15.6. I'm running Nvidia graphics too, so let's see if this thing holds together!

Something I noticed about this upgrade - the previous kernel version isn't supported at all despite still being installed. I can boot into it but no modules (such as Nvidia) work. There's also a number of packages that are built for 15.5 only which is unfortunate. Overall, the upgrade was fine but post-upgrade support has been less than stellar.

After about roughly month on openSUSE 15.6 would you say it is worth it? Have all the issues been worked out? Or would it be better to use tumbleweed snapshots when using newish hardware instead? Asking as I think I might distro-hop to finally try SUSE but I am still on the fence, I would be jumping from Gentoo to SUSE because I want something that is a bit more slower for its releases of updates, however I feel as though using older drivers for Nvidia might not be the best option for my setup / it might be counterintuitive to use older drivers that predate the current open drivers that Nvidia has started to push out for better Linux support overall. Would love to hear some outtakes on it!
