2014 F150 5.0 vs 2017 Chevy Silverado 5.3

F150 3.55 and 6 speed. Silverado 3.42 and 6 speed

I owned a Chevy 2014 5.3 (3.42) and currently have a 2017 5.0 Ford (3.55) The Ford is much more responsive. I really felt the Chevy was a slug and boring to drive. The Chevy was reliable and seemed to be set up for fuel savings where the Ford just gets up and goes.

I own and love my 5.3l silverado however the 5.0 ford does have a little bit more power

Cool trucks, I've got a 5.0L F-150 myself and love it! But the 2014+ 5.3L's are strong performers as well!

So how many of you trolls know the difference other than a brand? Why did a 5.0 keep up with a 5.3 one is in block cam design like the traditional sbc and the other is dohc.... This isn't the 5.0 you seen from the 90s and before not one part will interchange
