Tropical wave has potential for development

A tropical wave moving westward has a 20% chance of development. Initially, the environment will be hostile for development through August 1st, with unfavorable conditions such as wind shear, Saharan Dust, and the Madden-Julian Oscillation (MJO). However, after Aug. 1, conditions may become more conducive to development.

Hi Noah, yes this year we have similar conditions in the tropics than in 1992, when we got the killer cat 4 hurricane Andrew which impacted and devastated the SW Miami area. People by this time may be thinking than I am a folk from the stone age to be able to remember those days, but the point I am trying to make is that we maybe getting a very busy hurricane season this year, rgs
