⭐️CHILI
1/2 pound ground turkey
3/4 cup dry red kidney beans (canned or pre-boiled) or 2 cans cooked
3/4 cup dry pinto beans or 2 cans cooked
1 cup chopped onion - or use 1 tsp powdered onion
1 can tomato sauce- or 1 can diced or crushed tomatoes
1 1/2 tbs chili powder
1 tsp cumin
1/2 tbs oregano
1 tsp garlic powder
2 bay leaves
chicken bouillon to taste
salt to taste
Cook ground turkey, set in fridge for later
brown onions in skilled
KIDNEY BEANS - my viewer reminded me that kidney beans can be toxic if not cooked properly. please either use canned kidney beans or boil them on the stove before use.
TO CROCKPOT:
add dried pinto beans or 2 cans pinto beans
cooked kidney beans or 2 cans kidney beans
onions and spices
Cook on low until ready to eat. Add ground turkey about an hour or so before serving if using the crockpot.
Toppings: fried strips of tortillas, cheese, sour cream, hot sauce, etc.
⭐️ITALIAN PASTA AND GREEN BEANS
Single serving size, double, triple or quadruple for a family
3 ounces spaghetti
1 medium potato-diced, rinsed and drained
2-3 cloves garlic
1 diced roma tomato or 1 small can of tomatoes crushed
green beans canned or fresh
oil
In small sauce pan cook 2 diced garlic cloves in oil. Add tomatoes and simmer. Once pasta is almost done, add in some starch water to this pan.
In larger pan boil salted water. Add in potatoes, cook for 2 minutes. Add in spaghetti, clove of garlic, 1/2 can of green beans and cook until pasta is al dente or how you like it. Then drain and add this to the other pan with the tomatoes.
Optional add ins:
nutritional yeast
olives
parmesan cheese
