I like custom knifemaker R W Fred. I had four of his knives and sold two of them which I regret selling. One of the two I kept was an attempted remake of his knife featured Blade Magazine May 2017 issue.

I live in the PNW particular on the west temperate rain forest side of the state. I hunt mainly and will use knives for general edc stuff. I was wondering what brands/steels would you recommend considering my environments? Elk hunting in November on the coast and such. I’ve been thinking MagnaCut/20cv would be the perfect steel for my situation and your thoughts and experiences would be greatly appreciated.
