Leaking dishwasher does not need a plumber, it would need an appliance repairman. If you dw has not been used for years, more than likely the seals are dried out, plus other issues. I used to work for an appliance manufacturer.

When we aren’t feeling well, I pour Listerine over the brush part of the toothbrush and let it dry .Its good to go for your next brush and hopefully without germs from being sick .Happy shopping. 🧡

You should get everyone an electric toothbrush that way you don’t need to buy the ones with the battery you get an electric one that recharges and all you have to do is replace the head and you’ll save a lot of money

Dishwasher just needs a new seal. When you don’t use it frequently, the seal gets brittle and then will leak. Just a matter of having an appliance serviceman come out instead of a plumber.
