In this lecture, we will cover Class 7 civics NCERT chapter 1. "Equality in Indian Democracy" (part 1)

In part 1 of chapter 1, we will study about the role of equality in a democracy. We will cover how equality is a key feature of democracy, and why is it important. Then, we will understand how in various situations people may face inequality in daily life, through 3 short stories given in the chapter. Lastly, we will cover the idea of dignity, what does dignity mean, and understand it through the example of the Bollywood movie Deewar.
All the points of the chapter have been explained in a very simple manner. This way, it will be very easy to understand these concepts for class 7 exams, as well as, various competitive exams, like UPSC, bank PO, cds, ssc gl, etc.
