A lot of people ask how not to drive stick shift cars, but this how to drive a manual car. Rev matching is also important than skipping gears going down and up. You want the revs to match where the speed in in your next gear. Either blip the throttle or let the revs go down enough for that higher gear. You can skip gears in a manual and it makes it even more convenient.

I 100% support this video. I skip gears all the time when commuting. If I’m cruising at 50mph in 5th gear then the flow of traffic all of a sudden slows down to 30. I’m not going to 4th gear. I’m going straight to 3rd lol it wears less on the clutch and transmission because you’re not making unnecessary gear changes.

Manual Transmission is designed to Enjoy the Engine. So we need a High Revving Engine like a iVTEC!

Omg that's a scary thought. Shifting to 1st at 50 mpg or slamming into reverse. Although I'm not sure if the car will allow the reverse thing to happen unless u really force it. What technique do you use to rev match when you skip gears while downshifting. I heard people say double clutch technique should be used when skipping gears. But what if I rev match using the normal throttle blip technique? Does that work too?
