The same people that handle an unrealized loss...the owner of the money, not the government.

Doesn't matter who I think should have the money. Our government gets to decide. And there's nothing you can do to stop it.

Truthfully, I'd like to see the Musks, Zuckerberg, and Bezos types double thier employees salaries, because a stronge American has a strong, prosperous work force.

Um no one's hands but the owners of the unrealized gains. Please talk about the long tern realistic implications of this. Say I have $100k in equity in my home. I have to sell it to pay $25k. Then I'm without a home just to pay them. That $75K I get to keep goes as a down on another home....then I got $75K MAYBE in equity and need to pay 25% again? This is ludicrous.

Same old line. Time to pay up. Personal property taxes are unrealized gains and it happens all the time. Thousand being laid off with folks being replaced by robots. Stock by backs while they give themselves multi million dollar raises.

This doesn't concern me at all. I'm currently taking an accounting class and I do so poorly because I can't stand calculating unrealized capital gains or bonds payable, whatever for investments. I do absolutely well with everything else and I literally don't give two craps about Investments😂
