The unplugging for 1 minute and plugging back in actually fixed ours... Although a refrigerator should not have to be "reset" like a wireless router. Get it together LG!!

GREAT tips. after I lost a freezer full of food with no warning from the unit it magically worked again after a reboot and the tech found 'nothing wrong'. Now my PC, I can see needing to reboot from time to time. but a so-called smart fridge' needs to be more reliable and not trash your food for no reason or warning. if it is so fussy that you have to reboot or fudge the temp dials the manufacturer is one I will no longer trust for any other purchase. can you honestly recommend such a product to people? I will not! I stuck my unit out in my barn and attached remote thermometers to it to alarm me should it need a reboot again, but it has not over the course of several years. but no more LG for me!

There is too much talking and nothing showings. You're supposed to show the buttons how to set from Fahrenheit to Celsius, for example, because unplugging, people already know

Thanks for saving 2 weeks' worth of groceries for me. It was the unplug that helped. My LG side-by-side is 10 years old.

My $3500 LG fridge died within 1 year, the compressor died. After researching the compressor I discovered that LG discontinued the installation of "heftier" compressors for ones that were "better for the environment" which obviously means they get some sort of corporate write-off/ backroom deal for screwing me and you, the customer.

This is BS. I have an LG refrigerator and we have hade the compressor replaced 4 times. They replaced the coil, dryer, Freon filter on and on. I have been fighting this for 10 months. Hours on hold and no help. I’m on hold right now! Also, forget the Best Buy and the Geek squad extended warranty. These should not be sold to the public. LG stands for Lemon Grande.

I am a professional appliance repair technician and I know what the problem is with this guys fridge and he never even mentioned it. His fridge is TOO FULL and blocking the vents. Very very common

LG products are not worth fixing and you have to call a special person who’s licensed to work on LG products

I tried adjusting the temp, and as suggested by LG agent to unplug my fridge for more than 1 min, but it didn’t working. 😢so now I’m here online searching for some YouTube video to find a way out of the mess. I’m so helpless.

Thanks, "rebooting" the fridge seems to have fixed the problem.

You should go into politics. You can talk a lot without saying anything.

So the easy fix is to do nothing but reset it and then come home the next day to a freezer full of spoiled food? What exactly are you claiming to fix here?

You'd be more credible if you didn't feel the need to yell. Thanks for the tips anyway.

LG linear compressors are the worst. They break down easily and have had a class action lawsuit. I recommending avoiding LG products.
