Meta Quest 3's Best Weapon Against Apple Vision Pro: Logitech MX Ink

preview_player
Показать описание
We go hands-on and test the Logitech MX Ink, the first mixed reality stylus that works seamlessly with the Meta Quest 2 and 3. Tracked input options are a major differentiating factor between virtual reality headsets, and we examine how this tracked stylus feels for writing, painting, and designing in 3D space when compared to hand-tracking or Touch controllers.

Just a note for future products like this. It shouldnt take 6mins to actually show the product in use. you can show all the hardware features over the whole video

U didn't show anything. Just waving around the product. At least show a Realtime demo

The very little amount of video of it actually in use in VR is a bit suspicious

You didn't show your actual handwriting output...?
It's a writing device and you missed that entire point?
Clearly saw about 1/3rd through you were trying to push and write on your green mat and clearly it wasn't working so you just moved on the spinning it around again and showing a fake shadow it makes 🤷‍♂️

But the important question being, can you use two for beat saber? ;)

its best weapon is costing 1/7th as much as the vision pro and actually having content

As i was scrolling i noticed the title and saw what i thought was a window breaker and thought, yep that should help stop the competition.

They don't need to do anything to beat the vision pro. It's already done it to itself.

I just wish Meta would finally fix the Health Connect in Android, it has not worked even once in the whole lifetime of Android 14.

I'm using my quest 3 only for wireless pc vr so I have the smallest 128gb model, after a year I'm still really happy from it. I think we don't need more hardware but rather good software

I'll very happily buy one if it supports PC VR and can be set up like a virtual pen display in Windows. It's pretty inexpensive relative to PC pen tablets and pen displays.

This could have been a 5 minute video.

I want a 4k x 4k display is the X Elite chip. Meta can do it for 800. God, I'd wait in line 24hrs. Not a gamer, but very into taking notes, and this stylus plus better readability? Amazing experience.

Does this have any use in CAD/CAM applications like Solidworks, ANSYS, Fusion 360, KiCAD and similar engineering tools? Same for the the Quest or similar AR/VR headsets?

There is a small, niche art community that does a lot of their work in VR, *for* VR. Im one of them. This stylus is perfect for me. I know that it annoys gamers everytime a company drops something for VR thats not gaming focused, but there are some of us who benefit from things like this. Plus, this is probably the last piece of hardware we're (the vr art community) gonna get for 20 years, so dont worry.

Now when is this thing gonna be available in canada?

Man, if people can get this fully working with blender I will buy it and a quest 3 in a heartbeat. I can't even imagine how much better 3d modeling would be with a tool like this. I don't think I'd ever go back.

TESTED reviewing VR gear.
Oh, that takes me back to the days of anticipating the release of Rift.
