Megatron is the nickname of the test tank at Bovington, which that one is based on. They use it to test new and experimental features, so it doesn't really have one version, but I guess they just picked one and gave it that name as a little nod to it.

Megatron is the name of an actual Chally 2 in service with the BAF

The flag being "backwards" on one side is something that a lot of nations do, as for some nations there is a specific way the flag needs to be shown. For example with the US flag "Stars lead the way", meaning that when on something that moves the star field portion of the flag is placed on the "forward" side of the vehicle (or person). It wouldn't surprise me if the South African flag is meant to be shown with the bound edge of the flag in a similar position.

The skull icon was mostly likely introduced to differentiate a killed enemy from a hit enemy, which only displays the normal arrow thingy.

Not sure, though. I only thought of it because I sometimes push an enemy behind cover, which is being hit by friendly (and getting pinged by the arrow), only to discover it was already killed.

Or, they just added it to signify a killed enemy, idk.

Flags are generally painted in reverse on the other side of the aircraft.
Its related to how the flag moves in the wind (if you look at the flag from one side, it will be reversed when you look at it from the other side), and something about how the flag cannot be depicted as "retreating" relative to the aircraft direction of travel

The white outlines of planes going into a cloud have disappeared. So it is harder to spot them through clouds. Also, your own plane doesn't have those low-res outlines when you look at clouds (these are way more noticeable when time is set to "Dawn" or Sunset)
Also, some sounds have noticeable changes, but I cannot find them in the change-log :/ but I can really hear the difference between the new sonic boom and the old sonic boom. The new one has the punchy double boom.
These changes are actually "hidden", as I don't see anyone talking about them, but they are veery good quality-of-life changes :D and it annoyed me so much XD

I am SO happy about the backup change. Recently I had use a 90 to 120 millimeter cannon and kill tanks for the battle pass, and my only vehicle that worked was the m48, but I kept forgetting to activate backups. So nice.

The flag on the south african gripen being "flipped" is pretty standard practice as you'd want it pointing forwards to show advancement instead of pointing backwards to show retreat

The volcano map also has a floating tree on the left side of the map, the collision models for the trees also seem to be bigger than the tree.

2 bugs I found while playing the new update
In the map "Mountain Ridge, China" if you go to the top right of the map and look to the top, you'll see that part of the mountain is glitched
When you spawn in the Pe-2-110, there is a visual glitch that'll cause the flaps, landing gear, and airbrake to look like they're deployed

i like the skull icon for dead tanks, as it makes telling whether an ally has killed an enemy tank or just hit them, since before it just used the regular hit marker

Cool little detail, sometimes in the hanger, the ME163's little propellor will spin on its own. Not sure if it's a bug, but it only happens when you swap from ground forces hanger to air forces hanger

The Nuke spawning in is a cool mini-game for everyone to play. Of course shoot it down if you need to. Personally, I check the stat card of who's dropping it. If they're a high WR chad player, the game is on. If not, they get a free pass to the battlefield from me.

1:32 the flag is “backwards” so that the part closest to where the flagpole would be is closest to the front edge of the tail. This is so the flag always flies the correct way with relation to the direction of travel

1:23 many nations do that, I’ve heard that this is done to sort of mimic how the wind would be blowing the flag if it were an actual flag

Interesting thing about gripen is that gaijin actually cared about its unique fly by sound. When gripen passes by, you can hear it's turbine whine

The reason why the flag is backwards on the Gripen is because South Africa paints the flags as if it is on a flag pole, so from which ever angle you look at it you can see that the flag is always "streaming" backwards on the plane.

When it comes to the Nuke debate, Mines out of spite, my first time I got a nuke, I got shot down, now I shoot down every nuke I see

The flag is supposed to be backwards. It’s supposed to look as if the flag is going forward through the air.

1:24 in the US we have a similar thing where the back of the flag facing forward to basically show we're charging into battle. Cause when you're running with a flag it's gonna look like that.
