While obtaining his degree in communication studies from Oakland University, Curtis Childs experienced an internal battle with depression that led him to question God and his lifelong interest in Swedenborgian theology. After a period of intense suffering, he recovered from his depression with the help of modern medicine, therapy, and a return to the spiritually uplifting messages he found in Swedenborg’s writings.

Curtis is applying his education and desires to help others find peace through Swedenborg’s insights by producing and hosting this weekly webcast. He’s happiest when he can use Swedenborg’s concepts to help someone solve something they used to think was unsolvable.

Curtis has appeared on many international radio shows, podcasts, and YouTube shows, such as Talk Gnosis, Sunday Morning Spiritual, The Butterfly Moment, Dark Thirty Radio, and We Don’t Die Radio, and has been a speaker at several conferences, including TCCHE and IANDS.

You guys are really 'out of this world'. And I mean that in a good way! I started my 'journey' when I clicked on one of Curtis's recordings and then found myself getting on his Swedenborg Live shows where I could ask questions about God and spirituality. It was during the pandemic when I was really feeling 'lost' and needed to hear something that would make me feel better about life and the world. That led me a year later to incorporate Alex's Next Level Soul podcast into my 'spiritual diet'. I owe a lot to both of you for helping me navigate through a world that I often have a hard time understanding. I know you both will keep doing everything you can to be an inspiration to people like me searching for answers both inside ourselves and in the world around us. I just loved that last 90 minutes and will keep it in my 'library' to go back to again.

Carl Jung was a follower of Emmanul Swedenborg, and it was Jung who had a profound influence on Bill Wilson, one of the founders of Alcoholics Anonymous. Wilson's father-in-law was a Swedenborg minister. Much of the voice in the spiritual nature of AA is Swedenborg.

'Off the Left Eye' is a wonderful insight into Swedenborg's work. Very grateful to Curtis Childs and Co. for the information they discuss. Helped me enormously after the catastrophic loss of my husband in 2021 while the world was locked down. Serendipitously also shed light and sense on my own NDE and consequent aftermath. You don't need to have a traditional religious foundation in order to grasp Swedenborg's higher wisdom.
