Best LG Front Load Washer

the New LG WASHERS are not as good as the 15 year old models. I don't recommend LG, but if you want one get the most basic unit, save your money for the impending repairs.

My parents had one of the first LG Tromm frontload washers, basic led buttons and controls. Lasted 18 years on well water.

We picked up a LG washer and gas dryer in 2003. They are great. Had to replace the washer tube in 2018 due to the seal leaked which can happen to any of these front load washers, not just LG. Got a new tub with the the bearings and seal from Appliance Parts and installed it myself, just followed the replacement video. They still look new.

Horrible advice (not the first time on this account). Those cheapo LGs are fine, but they take forever to wash clothes because of their lack of turbowash. If you wanna get it, go ahead, but you’re better off with the upper level turbowash units. Also there is nothing wrong with the electronics on those upper models. They’re literally the exact same except more options. Also that particular machine you showed not to buy is actually based on a platform they released 13 years ago. Thats nothing new. That doesn’t mean it’s going to fail. I keep seeing these bogus claims on this account and it really makes me question this guys credibility, if he’s an actual appliance repairman or just a salesman, promoting only brands that he carries (cough cough speed queen and Ge). LG is a great quality washer

Had bought an LG washer and gas dryer in 2005. The washer gave up on me yesterday (Lasted 20 years!!), so I bought the one in this video. The dryer is still going very strong.

The basic lg is what I have, it’s 12 years old now and haven’t had much issues with it.

I repair household appliances... And these washmachines have big problems with the concrete balast weights on the front of the tub. The bolts come undone and the blocks start rattling on the tub until they brake off! New concrete blocks and front tub half was needed for repair...

I personally would get the high-end one you showed, the WM8900HBA, because the WM3400CW, the basic one you showed only comes in white, and it would have to be gray or black. I also like the extra capacity and features.

More options doesn't mean it will break. I have one and works perfectly fine. Cost around 700$ and I can say it's a steal. People should get lg's bcz they are very good in quality, almost like Miele. They are maybe a little bit overpriced but trust me they are good.

Stick to the older style you say. But always tell people to buy a Speed Queen TR7 with LOADS of electronics and technology. Be consistent.
