Hi, I’ve done 5 doubles where you have done 4. Do I do 6 double crochets where you have done 4?(across the top)

I realize that this is an older video, but I am in the process of making a ripple stitch afghan. But mine have 5 sc, then the peak of a sc 1, ch 2, sc 1 and then 5 sc again down from the peak. Then I skip two and the other side up the peak consists of 9 sc to the peak. How would I do this for the sides of the peak of 5 and 9?
