What you need is the Bunny framework to manage your Krispy Kreme subsystem because your Frozen Yogurt connection manager can't find a compattable Frog Smasher API, so I recommend downloading the Spoopy IDE that has a special Platypus configurator if you enable the Chocolate setting in the Fruit Loop menu. Then you can finally make the Spoon API work with the Lasagna API and get the Underwear system to work.

Who else got here by googling 'I hate JavaScript' after hours of frustration...

I just want to summarize this 8 minute videos for someone who has low connection.

1. Javascript ecosystem is too much.
2. Node modules is the shittiest package dependencies
3. 🦆 Typing - a.k.a. dynamic language, often times this leads to major drawback to big codebase as it gets harder to debug.

Its the most misunderstood language and the only option to do web development. Other languages that transpiles or x-to-javascript compiler still needs to learn JavaScript just to be sure you get it right.

Dude, you do realise you spelled 'vuetify' wrong? That's why it didn't work lol

The problem is that javascript doesn't have a concrete reference implementation. C has gcc, C++ has g++, C# has the Common Language Runtime, Java has HotSpot, PHP has the Zend Engine, Python has CPython... But javascript doesn't have a reference implementation at all, so everyone just makes their own runtimes everywhere and all of them are entirely different

All I have to say is F react and Javascript too ....is like the wild west you need a like half of the internet and a million packages to get anything done

I'm here because I'm very frustrated on getting so much errors that I don't know how to fix and then I'm stuck and end up wasting my time and not getting productive at all.

js is not the best language but the problem here is the lack of organization behind the npm packages. Most languages and frameworks have a company or organization backing them up. With npm, there's no one to put order and say: this is broken, until it's fixed you are out! Or at least create a layer of safe packages and if you want others you use them at your own risk. Also, there's this fight for who does the best framework, so you have React, and Angular, and Vue, or the best tool so you have webpackband then parcel and so on. It's not about solving a problem anymore, it's just about creating something new, and creating new fads.

I hate the javascript ecosystem with burning passion. It has one of the most toxic communities in the programming world. Still waiting eagerly for webassembly to become stable.

I just feel the amount of JS libraries can be really daunting and there are constantly new JS frameworks coming out which doesn't help much in solving it.

"This is typical bullshit u just have to deal with" (re JS error). This is so true. I remember saying this exact same thing to a friend who was trying to get comfortable using JS (he comes from a C# background). For all the newbs out there, don't get discouraged by this, you start to become really good at solving this over time and it actually becomes super easy after. GL HF.

I came to mobile/web development from C/C++ middleware/ server side a little over a year ago, and I'm honestly shocked at the state of things, including the shit you've shown in the video. It's like nobody is interested in making things work. Everyone is only trying to develop a cool new thing. New fads appear faster than old ones get obsolete. And I don't think there's any technical reason for this constant corousel of crap. You just need to put some thought and effort into designing a framework/ tool that you can actually rely on. It's purely a matter of culture. JavaScript being an infuriating mess of a language doesn't help either. It's amazing that there are people defending it when even its original creator doesn't try to.
How difficult is it to agree on a couple basic truths?
1. JavaScript is a shit language and you need to work around its design flaws to make it useful.
2. If an old piece of software doesn't handle your particular use case well, a new one made from scratch won't be better unless you understand what made the old fail. And if you do understand, chances are you can just fix the old one.

newbie here, I started coding a couple of months ago with python cause it's the coolest thing, and everybody says if you want to learn coding start with "PyThon", made python codes on 2nd week to help with some work around the work place, just by reading python codes, selenium, API, FB graph API to do some repeatable stuff, just import stuff and I'm good (gave me some confidence). After a month or so, wanted to test if python can put food on the table. HECK NO! nobody's gonna hire you to do python coding unless you're a SENIOR or experienced enough. Back to square one, didn't give up on my programming dream, it seems there're more JavaScript / PHP freelancer work online. Went with JavaScript, ALL HELL BROKE LOSE, Nothing made sense (coming from python) LOL, had to relearn alot of stuff! HELP!

I have to agree, JS is kinda garbage, it's like a sprinkle of spaghetti code with the abomination of JS frameworks that malfunctions randomly when a dev needs something but fails to do so in the terminal or the code editor.

Should JavaScript be replaced with something completely new?

My college is teaching Java and JavaScript in the same semester and I am like for the love of God, let me study Java in peace, fuck JS man, it sucks!

I will do you one better. NODE SHOULD NOT EXIST! THERE IS NO NEED FOR SERVER SIDE JS!

6:00 I want to blame hipster programmers. No offence though. I see code all the time that I have to clean up first before even using it.
