Can we appreciate that in the cutscene of meeting Godfrey, we can see that he has the guidance of grace pointing towards the tarnished, showing that he is the tarnished Hoarah Loux and we are the boss in his way.

Get we get lore on soldier of godrick? His fight is absolutely insane, I need to know his story!

Radahn is the most tragic yet wholesome characters in this game. Spent years of his life to learn gravity magic, first to still be able to ride on his horse and as a secondary effect protecting the world from the horrors of the stars. Protecting us and his horse even after his corruption from rot turned him into a monstrous beast, only to lose control of the stars when he falls in battle for the very last time, A beautiful gigachad giving us a new definition of never giving up.

The entire family is so tragic, even Marika. She shattered the Elden Ring because she was angered with the Greater Will in the end, and her sending Godfrey away might have already been a sign of that since SHE took his grace, not necessarily the Greater Will. Her first son is murdered, her second and third Omen children were cast out (we don't know if she chose to cast them out or if it was part of the Greater Will and contributed to her anger against it).

Radagon, who is part of her regardless of how they started, fell in love and had children, and he had to leave Rennala for Marika, and it's unknown whether either of the two halves of them actually wanted this. Clearly he loved Rennala, even gifted her a Great Rune (which is no small thing since it gives her such power over the world). Marika made their children demigods, whether out of necessity or whether she shared the feelings of love that Radagon had for their children, it's unknown.

Then every single one of those demigods fell to ruin too, except maybe Ranni. Rykard for (justifiably) being against the Greater Will, Radahn for fighting his sister FOR the Greater Will.

And then you get Miquella and Malenia, both of whom were cursed from the start. Miquella wanted to make a new and fairer world but was kidnapped by his brother Mohg before he could complete his own Haligtree, and Malenia was left alone to rot away.

I guess it's not that strange they saw misfortune though. The fact that Radagon made VOWS in the Church of vows to honour Rennala then abandoned her... like the wise turtle pope said, breaking vows can lead to misfortune. And not only did Radagon break his vow to Rennala, before that Marika seems to have broken her vow to Godfrey.

Just wanted to mention that Rhadhans feet weren’t Rotted away, but instead they were slowly carved away by the amount of time he spent dragging them in the desert.

We need a time traveling dlc where we go back and interact with the Lands Between in its prime! Imagine seeing all the demigods in their prime, a live and well Marika and Radagon, Ranni before she left her body, Meeting Godwyn before the assassination, Radahn when he was learning gravity magic for his horse, and having the ability to side with whoever you wanted! Obviously wishful thinking on my part but I just want to see the Lands Between in its prime

So Margot protected the Erdtree, even when his own family shackled him to the sewers? Except Godfrey, who looked sad upon his son's death.

I’d also like the mention that I personally believe Mohg didn’t steal Miquella during the Malenia and Radahn fight. I think she started the fight because she thought Radahn had stolen Miquella. This is why she fights him in the Caelid Dunes because it’s one level above where Miquella is actually being held, in Mohogywn Palace.

Out of everyone in this story Finlay is mad underrated he walked from caelid all the way to the Haligtree (which for us player is the farthest distance to travel) which he walked while carrying malenia and fighting of enemies on the way. Mad respect (you can get him as an spirit summon too)

Some additional lore for ranni: she gives dialogue during her quest saying she’s no longer an empyrean after casting away her body and blaidd was gifted to her by the two fingers as her shadow (just like marika and maliketh) when she abandoned the two fingers blaidd stayed with her and the baleful shadow is an assassin created by the two fingers. Only the three empyreans can succeed marika: ranni, melania, and miquella. Empyreans are chosen vassal by the two fingers. (Ranni also said that)

The name Margit is actually clever imo.

Morgott was known as the veiled king, and a cut NPC's dialogue hints that no one actually ever sees their leader Morgott.

He was able to freely fight on the frontlines as Margit and it didnt matter if people saw him with that moniker, because no one ever saw Morgott.

I just really love how every major boss in this game is a shadow of their former self, with half the Demi-gods driven insane in some way or another. Even Marika and Radagon had a brutal fall from grace. The Lands Between are so ruthless and it’s a big reason I love the lore of this game. Everything feels so tragic.

When Malenia spread her scarlet rot on to Rhadan, the mist spread all of Caelid that's why its rotten and decaying. You can confirm this with and NPC soul beside a grace over looking place.

The information about Godfrey is a bit unclear imo. It should say that he's always been Hoarah Loux, but took upon the name of Godfrey when he became the First Elden Lord and cast his vengeful animal spirit on his back. Also, the "sparks in his eyes fading" refers to Grace leaving him.

2:28 Ranni is an empyrean, which wasn’t born from a single god… an empyrean is a person deemed worthy by the greater will to become Marika’s successor

Basically Elden Ring is a family game we can all play together even tho there's a death in the family

I helped Marika by ridding her of Godfrey, their relationship was getting a little weird, Radagon found the texts
