My absolute favorite INTP quote:

“The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. To be your own man is a hard business. If you try it, you’ll be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself.”

–Rudyard Kipling

"If the people around you don't want to hear your thoughts, find new people."

Yes. Words to live by.

As an INTJ my husband goes through the annoyance of offering answers to issues that then takes his company 3 years before realizing his answer is what they need to do.

I don't know about quotes, but to INTJs and INFJs, I would say to not put too much stock in your simulations. It's great to have contingencies in place, but think back to how many times you were lying in bed the previous night, planning for all the different scenarios, when on the next day it actually played out completely differently. More often than not, I'm guessing.
You can't stop a planner from planning, so go ahead, but try to have more confidence in your extroverted functions' abilities to improvise and get you out of trouble when the real moment arrives.

A quote that changed my perspective as an INFJ: "It is easier to act your way into a new way of thinking than to think your way into a new way of acting" - Millard Fuller, founder of Habitat of Humanity. As an INFJ, I am often crippled by my over-reliance on introspection and intuition. I spend too much time thinking through potential possibilities and can feel paralyzed in my inaction (as Nathan mentioned). It's very good for INFJs to have somebody in their life to help them do things spontaneously, to act without thinking.

Although I love this video, I can't shake the feeling that what INTPs need to hear is: "GET OFF THE FUCKING COUCH." I type this from the couch.

As an ISFP I feel EVERYONE NEEDS to have more of a “Live and Let Live” view on life and people. In other words QUIT JUDGING PEOPLE SO HARSHLY!!! 😁

Spot on for ISTPs! My kids never knew what plan might be put into motion at any given time... I think it made them more resilient and prepared for life.

If I could say some words to a younger INTJ, it would be:
Don't be discouraged by the problems you see in the people around you. Those problems are symptoms of an illness, and you're here to find the cure.

You're absolutely right about ISTP. I've systematically avoided any life choices that would prevent me from changing everything up when I need to, and it's been working out so far.

As an istp, you understand our type a lot more than anyone else I’ve seen talk about us

Thanks so much for this video, all the comments really suit each personality type. As an INFJ, I find it tricky to live in the moment at times.

I found this two years later. I have to say this. You must do a LOT of reading and research to do all this to encourage the rest of us. THANK you for your work!

As an INFP, I think I resonate the most with the ENTP quote here, which can be spun in a lot of ways based on the kinds of phases I've been through in my life.

There are years for exploring and nurturing yourself and years for putting yourself out there.

There are years for figuring out life and years for living it full-force.

There are years for reckoning with practical realities and years for dreams and creativity.

There are years for retreating and healing and years to start fresh as a better version of yourself.

There are years for surviving and years for thriving.

None of this is meant to be completely black and white, I'm just talking in terms of relative emphasis.

As for the INFP quote, that's a no-brainer for me! I've been stubbornly hopeful and optimistic even in the worst of times. But yeah, it's important for other INFPs to remember that. We especially need to be patient with ourselves, and with life, given how slowly our lives often progress and how many obstacles reality can present to achieving our dreams and ideals.

As an INTP, I loved this. Some of my siblings need to hear these things, so I'm definitely going to be sending this to them with the timestamp for their respective types. Especially my ENFP brother. He's having a rough time.

Completely agree with an ESTP one, and yes indeed helps thinking that way instead pushing yourself to plan and living you life like others do. I constantly remind myself that for me is the most efficient to live life at my terms (in the moment and constantly on the edge) and not on the others'. For me that's what works!
(If someone wonders, living on the edge is what gives me motivation and will to live. That is what drives me. If I don't have that, adrenaline and real motivation like fear etc, I become too lazy with no desire to do anything really. So yeah, wanted to share that because even my own mother never could quite understand me, although we are very close and I love her so much!)

As an ENFP my firm includes me often in Focus Groups and Project teams for changes in the firm bc they know I will give many suggestions and compliments. Last focus group I pointed out something that the person running the multiple meetings didn’t even catch. Perfect quote!
