As an INFP I can say that I have a full idealized version of me in my head. Literally I imagine that I am famous, everybody loves me and Im friends with everyone while I am laying on my bed eating Tostitos.

I honest feel like most INFPs end up describing themselves like this:

INFP, in their head: I have so many passions, so many interests, my mind is an enigma. there is literally so much going on and all i want to do is to live a fulfilled life filled with my greatest fantasies, ambitious and dreams. my dreams are elaborate and they are comparable to the beauty of the night sky and the silence of the trees at dusk. and i want to live every single one of them.

As an INFP I feel like we’re only ourselves in our heads… it sounds stupid but I don’t feel like we ever fully trust people around us so we never ever tell our real emotions, dreams, passions. Recently whenever I tried to explain what I really think people have shut me down because it’s either too dark or they are like yeah no way that’s happening. I literally had one of my friends go ‘I wanna fall in love’ and I said ‘oh my god you are turning into me’ and she replied ‘yeah but I’m actually going to have a relationship because I’m realistic’ like what? Yes we like daydreaming and yes we may exaggerate things in our minds but hasn’t one stopped to think that the reason we do that is because we are aware of how horrible our lives are and want something better? It’s a coping mechanism and people have to start understanding that instead of making fun of us. Not to say Frank’s INFP stuff are always very accurate.
