As a french guy, I can tell you there are no cheese and onions in the original recipe.
We also prefer what we call lardons over chopped bacon strips.
But fuck the conventions everyone put some onions and cheese inside and on the top because it's delicious, great great quiche Sam, looks divine

It's a beautiful quiche, just not a quiche Lorraine. We don't put oignons, cheese or lard in a quiche Lorraine.
But then again, it is a beautiful quiche. I'd happily demolish it tbh 🤣

We did an iteration of this when I was a chef and cooked in the wood fired brick pizza oven 😋 served with a very bright acidic Greek salad 🥗 but quiche was garnished with shaved parm, bacon, and parsley. Sunday brunch item very classic. 🎉
