I lost over 65lbs in ‘22 just by walking/running and eating clean. I didn’t deprive myself, but did a sugar/carb detox for about a month. I am now very in tune with my body and I know what works and what doesn’t. When you detox and eat clean, your body naturally craves the hood stuff and if I eat junk, I immediately feel sick.

Do Intermittent fasting, Mediterranean diet, stop all snacks, soft drinks etc, excercise a few days a week.
The weight will come off

I started taking it just over a month ago. My cravings stopped immediately.

The problem with all these clueless nobodies on panels/podcasts trying to talk about it is that the majority of them have never been obese. When you're a heavy person and you've tried and battled your whole life with 100's of diets you get to the point where a little risk for taking a pill to help you outweighs just continuing to be 3 or 400 pounds because you're going to die eventually because of your obesity anyway.
No one gives a shit about losing muscle or fat when you're 400 lbs, any weight loss is beneficial and improves their health with some light risks compared to staying at an obese weight.

Berberine really helps my cravings and I combined that with glucose goddess method. Then I can work on the emotional eating, I never knew how much I had been driven by cravings before this.

I was on ozempic for weight loss, lost 20kg, moved countries where i now cannot get it, i've put 10kg back on and now binge eat and make myself purge every time i overeat, so basically I now have an eating disorder.

I am confused here. There seems concern about this drug and the concerns of long term effects. But the Experimental Covid Vaccine is not only approved, but recommended. Any insights?

I love Ozempic. Feel like I have been let out of jail (food jail). I can do things like gardening which I have not been able to do in years. I feel much stronger too so I am puzzled by the mention of muscle loss.

My cravings exploded when I got off of it. Pounds came back 🤷🏻‍♂️

My friends who have been on Ozempic also mentioned they were beyond exhausted. Couldn’t workout if they tried.

Love Dr. Attia! I found what really helps is accepting you can't eat the poison that is called the typical western diet and go mostly high-quality plant-based whole food with some baked chicken and salmon mixed in. 31 lbs and counting. What also really helps is not letting eating something crappy yesterday justify eating something crappy today and accepting that you will fall off the wagon several times a week. You fail because of your rules, not your exceptions.

Why is she recording him on her phone when the podcast is already being recorded? Weird!

I know someone who took it for diabetes, stopped for a few weeks but most of the weight came back quickly

My Dr ignored my request for metformin and pushed this drug among others for my pre-diabetes. I read about what the drugs do and decided I can achieve the same results by limiting carbs. While also taking Hyzaar for blood pressure

My mother is on both metformin and ozempic. She did not take care of herself and the ozempic has cause gastritis and damaged her so badly

Ozemic is used in medicine for more than weight loss. It was only FDA approved a few year ago for weight loss in obese patients.

It’s used in endocrine and cardiology.

That being said, I used it for weight loss while seeing a registered dietitian and medical provider and lost weight when I hit a plateau in my weight loss journey. I stopped because I got pregnant. ( I also noticed hair shedding but I am not certain it was due to the injection). I had to still diet and exercise to see any significant results of the medication.

For those of us with an ED like binging, the injectables make you less hungry, but I've never really binged because I'm hungry. I yoyo'd for a year on Saxenda but am happy to stop because I'm starting to feel unwell.

I started mounjuro 2 weeks ago. 9lbs down. I would say it is soo hard to eat. Being nauseous is an understatement lol…all food looks disgusting including my ribeyes that I love. Incorporating strength training and switched to semaglutide yesterday. 17lbs to go.
