Take the top stick move it to the left.
Move the stick on the right of that top right box and move it to the bottom between the two boxes

Solve it by logic
Imagine a 2*4 region including all 4 square
The extra square should not exceed the region because it needs 3 sticks to form a new one.
That means u have only 6 positions to reallocat the sticks
If u use the corners
as the girl did, u fail,
That means u have to use the other two lines left and u have the answer
