They can't sue Everton premier League has already said Everton never gained an advantage from this

It's not harsh. It's absolutely fair because they broke the rules. What's NOT fair though is that team like Chelsea and Man City who have done ten times worse have not been punished.

Who can sue EFC, 9 clubs relegated over these 3 seasons, EFC can only be relegated once so really only one club could have escaped, then, in which year did this FFP breach take place? Therefor, who picks the team, supposedly, most effected?
But more importantly, the PL confirmed EFC did not gain ANY sporting advantage due to FFP breach, these clubs all got relegated because they were shitter than EFC and not because of them!!!!

This is why the fans were so fed up with the board. The board has been an utter disgrace.

The punishment has to be harsh to deter clubs from doing it in the future.

the same fans who made death threats on Rafa Benitez's family? yeah, no sympathy for those delusional thugs!

The idea behind the points deduction is to deter other clubs from breaking the rules they have all signed up to. Simplistically the reason for having FFP rules is to try and prevent the wealthiest sides from buying all the best players. I think Everton’s breach amounts to something like £20m which is peanuts in the transfer market nowadays. The idea behind hitting them with a severe penalty is to try and make every club adhere to the FFP rules. If teams start to take legal action because of rules that were never intended to bring about those sorts of repercussion then the end result is obvious. The PL will ditch those rules altogether. The PL doesn’t want a string of legal actions every time one of its rules is breached - it’s as simple as that.

Most of fans demand, support and proud of their club overspend to sign elite players with hefty contracts to win trophies, top 4, top 6, build better stadium. Clubs need to satisfy their customers in order to sell more shirts, tickets and sponsor deal to fit in purposes. If the club found guilty on the FFP charges, I have no sympathy because the fans were accomplices as well. This is the cycle does. However, True fans will support their club thick and thin, even point deduction or relegate to lower division. The main purpose for FFP is to make sure the league grow healthy, monitor clubs’ spending are affordable but in fair manner. TBH, if FFP investigate, dig deep all the clubs, lots of the PL club would found guilty especially top clubs, deserve penalties. What the PL need is fairness, consistency, one rule apply to all. If City or Chelsea found guilty, will they charge equivalent to Everton penalty? I have my doubt!

Excessive/harsh or not, they broke the rules and caused 3 teams to get relegated - so 10 points for losing £18m seems to be the going rate then set by the league. It will only be a fair punishment if Chelsea and Man City suffer worse fates, as their dealings are more severe.

are admitted to their fault so stop compare man city who no prove against them in first place

The fans never protested when the club were spending money it didn't have. In fact the protests only started when they stopped spending money. So on what planet is it harsh on the fans?

The fans don’t suffer due to a points deduction. The football goes on. The players are still there. The reason Everton are near the bottom is due to bad spending by the club, not the league.

They spent over, and the rules have been enforced. There should be no argument with that. Paid the price with the gamble and might get away with it.

I don’t think other teams should get compensation either. They all signed to the rules, all could of played close to the edge but didn’t. Everton have been punished in accordance to the rules. It’s not anything new to know the punishment comes after the crime. All teams signed up for it. Get on with it

The problem now is that the Premier League have set a precedence & will have to dish out the same proportion of discipline to anyone else who breaches the rules & regulations.

Gross incompetence and a flagrant disregard for the rules.
Everton should have been forced into administration before it got out of control - 2 years ago.
A disgrace

Do you want FFP or not? Do you want clubs to be able to spend whatever they want, even if it mean they could go out of business? Do you want to see the reacher clubs spending a lot more than the poorer clubs? If you do - carry on. But if you believe FFP is a force for good, then violating the rules must have consequences. Fines don't work. Points deductions will. Everton broke the rules - they benefited from doing so. Simple.
