Would You Swim Here?

Every fall season, a migration of bait fish (mullet) travel the beaches from the Carolinas and head to South Florida. They attract sharks and other massive fish. The swimmers are trapped as the fish use safety in numbers to survive. The beaches remain open as the annual migration happens without informing local beach goers.

Would you swim here?

I'd cast my net a few times, but NO swimming. That's not swim time. When mullets run, I'm gone fishin'. I'll swim when the smoke clears.

I'm a Florida shark fisherman. I take my boat anywhere from 100 yards to 25 miles offshore to catch them. People would be amazed at how easy it is to catch large sharks right off the beach- I just put some cut-bait (pieces of fresh fish) on my hook, and within just a few minutes I'll usually have a nice shark on the line. If you go swimming in the ocean, chances are there is a shark nearby and it knows you're there. They're everywhere.

Outstanding videography, after your boat build break, you're definitively back!

Years back surfing at Sebastian Inlet as we were in the water there were millions of mullet packed up against the beach and jetty then we started seeing big fish flash down below, , Didnt take long and we realized the big fish flashing werent tarpon or snook they were sharks!! We got out and watched from the beach and it turned into a full on shark feeding frenzy it was crazy !! They werent huge sharks but big enough to bite a foot, , leg or hand while paddling and do damage !! I remember sharks chomping across the surface like Pac Man on the mullets the waves sucked antway but the sharks were great to watch, , ,
Also remember Ft Piece jetty having great surf 1 day with alot of mullet and then the sharks showed up and a surfer got bit in the hand so the Rangers said No Surfing but we all went out anyway and kept our feet on our boards bobbing around in the lineup waiting for waves crazy Florida stuff !!

That must be an insane feeding event for the other local fish and birds that have been waiting for this migration.

So just a few days ago on Santa Rosa beach Fl, I'm in shin deep water standing on the sandbar and the sea is pretty flat. Lady fish are tearing up the bait fish and I'm hooking up on them with a Cajun popper with a 1/4 oz white grub,
loads of fun, until a shark comes out of the water and takes my grub and probably the lady that was following it.
So to answer your question, NO!

I'd swim, but when they start swimming fast, you better too, you never wanna be in the way of a tarpon.
I love seeing fish they're awesome creatures.

It's actually beautiful to see a natural school. Humans have devastated the oceans and seas, but no I would not swim here.
