This is a GE-Mazda S-4 Sunlamp mercury vapor lamp intended for suntanning applications. These were made sometime between the late 1930s and the 1940s. You will need to use a 100W H38 mercury vapor ballast to run them as they are mercury vapor lamps, which cannot run directly on pure line voltage as they will burn out instantly if done so. Nice find on this lamp! They are very hard to find nowadays.

Just a different type, could be halogen, xenon, sodium, idk. Could be 2 years old or 30
