i dont have the mixer option discussed in 4:10-4:16 and when i tried it the first way i heard zero change in the wav file cause im trying to turn down the back vocal not make it louder

I have a part of a song tbdt is quiet and want to add gain to just that single part, can anyone tell me how to do that? When you play with gain it changes whole track

Why cant you do it like in any other daw, because you can do faders on the wave block, Ableton just add volume on the actual wave file ffs
