Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is a fantastic fantasy take on Borderlands' tried-and-true looter shooter formula. As spin-offs go, it sticks dangerously close to its past successes which at times felt a bit unoriginal and some of the new stuff it tries, like procedurally generated combat encounters, didn't pan out terribly well. Luckily, the excellent writing, hilarious performances from an all-star cast, and ridiculous combat continue to shine brightly and make this tabletop-inspired explosion-fest absolutely worth your time.

They didn’t talk about how they got rid of my least favorite thing in Borderlands, which is punishing a player for doing things in a certain order. On this game you can back track to area or do an old quest and the enemies and loot will always be your level same with the rewards. So able to do side or story quest in the order you choose and look for things you miss at your leisure.

To be honest, smaller arenas where you're just shooting at enemies is exactly up my alley so this game looks like a 9/10 from me. Random encounters seem pretty fun

If there’s one character in the Borderlands universe that deserve their own spin off game, it’s definitely Tiny Tina. 🏆

Annual CoD: 9/10 every time!

Other games: didn't change enough from the previous game despite a new setting, new gameplay mechanics, new features for the first time in the series, great writing and voice acting, etc.; 8/10

Don't forget...you can skip these random combat encounters by punching the enemy in the overworld. (If you so decide)

honestly combat encounters are clearly been made to increase fps while borderlands 3 had crazy fps drops in certain zones, wow im actually happy with that change and it gives me more points to get the game honestly...

i’ve played every borderlands game and enjoyed them all, putting thousands of hours into them combined. also going to get this one but a little later down the line, currently swamped with elden ring horizon and ghostwire

Random encounters are fine.. you dont even have to do them.. you can literally melee them away on the overworld map when they come. They are excellent ways the quickly get a new gun if you need it.

Sure the story might not be "real", but it's definitely still possible to get emotionally invested in the lives of a bunch of blorbos you made up. Just look at Critical Role!

Even though BL3 was a disappointment I’ll still buy this day 1 and hope for the best and hopefully this has some raid bosses and rainbow rarity items in the base game this time.
