We have a really weird teacher that is average at teaching but grades really hard. I was gone for 1 week for my apendicitis and I missed this basically. We have a team test coming up and my group is filled with space head and this just saved my life. I'm not even kidding. You are the first one who didn't stop for 2 minutes for us to fill in one of the blanks. We actually need people like you to show us how to do it and then it makes sense. Otherwise we get lost. That should be : An = -1^n.
What this does is when the number is even it returns positive one, when its uneven it returns negative 1.
