Been in the kitchen for a few years now love how well this whole situation was handled he just told you what messed him up didn’t get mad kept working then gave you an all day on your upcoming tickets before he stepped off to cut up the beef and then even told you he was using your knife truly a great chef you have

I dont get the people acting like there was something wrong with this interaction? Boss fumbled due to a spoon in a bad spot, made sure his new chef got the memo on how to do things next time. If anything this was ideal conduct. This kind of communication is the most productive on a serious line. You're working on a time crunch in a restaurant - when service gets hectic there's no time for platitudes. Clean it up, make sure you're all on the same page and do your job. Keep it up chef, love your vids.

Head chef can’t be mad about the situation, I’d hope he’d show self control, seems like comments are surprised. But he also isn’t wrong for correcting it and trying to prevent it from happening in the future. Good interaction all around.
