They test marketed Zima in the area of a bar I worked at. No one liked it by it self. We used to come up with all kinds of things to mix with it. The best ones were Zima and Peach Schnapps. Zima, a shot of Absolut vodka with a shot of blue curocoa. Mixed in the bottle. We called it a Nox-Zima. It wasn't to bad with a lime in it.

The kids in my work group bought me a bottle way back then. I thought it tasted like alcoholic soda, maybe Sprite. A few weeks later at a family party, all my young cousins were drinking it.

That's all I remember.

I remember the biggest issue with Zima was that you'd buy a dozen and, because they tasted sweet and barely alcoholic, you'd drink them all without even realizing. It was alcohol poisoning waiting to happen.

My first experience with alcohol involved Zima, Jolly Ranchers, and playing F-Zero while laughing hysterically as we took turns bouncing the car from wall to wall.

Subsequent experiences have not been so radically different.

Coors needs to release Zima again in the states, last I heard it was still available in Japan as of 2018 when it was released Zima again the last time in the states. I bought 3 or 4 cases back in 2018, it was my favorite drink when it was 1st released back late 90's, thought it was a lot better than the Smirnoff. I didn't really like the BOLD version as well as the original version. Never saw the variety flavors 5.9% version in my area or the stores jus didn't have it.
