THE LUNGS AND GAS EXCHANGE GCSE Biology 9-1 | Combined Sci (Revision)

Today we’re learning about the lungs and gas exchange! This is for GCSE Biology & Combined Science.

We’ll start with labelling a diagram of the lungs and thorax.

Then we’ll look at how the alveoli are adapted for the function of gas exchange.

Next, we’ll take a look at fish! Yes, fish! We’ll cover how they are adapted for gas exchange in the water - try and see if you can spot similarities to adaptations of the lungs.

Finally, I’ll give you some quick questions to try - these will test how much you’ve understood from this mini-topic!
