Why did COSMO'S VOICE get so HIGH?

When I was a kid, I enjoyed the higher voice. But as I've gotten older, I found that Cosmo's "used car salesman" voice was clever and classy 👌.

Darrel did a great job as cosmo! When his voice got higher, i assumed he was voiced by someone else.😂

When it got higher and higher, it just got more annoying, to be honest. And he got dumber and dumber, which also was not funny.
It seems Nickelodeon doesn't know how to handle dimwitted characters, with how they have also ruined Patrick from Spongebob.

Meh I actually miss the old lower voice tbh....it was nice when he wasn't dumb but didn't really think things through. There's a difference imo 😂

I think by season 8, 9 & 10 his voice started getting obnoxiously high pitched

I like that in the OG pilot, he certainly wasn’t smart but he wasn’t totally stupid. Tho he wasn’t book smart he was Street smart and witty. To match he had sort of a smooth jazzy voice. Personally I think this dynamic would’ve worked better.

I can’t remember if Cosmo occasionally talked in the original deeper voice in newer episodes, but that would’ve been funny

Fun fact, in the Hebrew version of the series from episode 71 (mooooving day) which was dubbed by dubidub studios, Cosmo is voiced by a woman called Eden gamliel, and has a somewhat more child like voice. Other than anti Cosmo (dubidubz studios Hebrew version), she was also the Hebrew voice of Chester, A.J., and tootie (dubidubz studios Hebrew version).
