Agree, if you see all these videos of people fighting in public, they throw wild shots, if you manage to keep calm, you can do just what he said, block with arm/shoulder, counter right cross, follow with upper or hook. But keep calm is key.

I was an amateur 201 lb Fighter in the 80's and was good, I can see a Thuggs haymarket punch coming before he even throws it, I can see and sense his shoulders cocking up the punch, yes straight right is better, but only 1 in 10 can grasp how to throw fast and straight, most panic and resort back to telegraphed haymaker bombs, those might work on untrained slow people.
