People, always remember that the trailer shows the ABSOLUTE BEST parts of any movie in an effort to entice you to come see it. This was the BEST parts! So if you want terrible acting and a clearly stupid plot written by a 12 year old, order your tickets now !!!

This COULD have been a great, intense movie if it wouldn't have had the 'chapter breaks'. Whichever executive's decision it was to interrupt the tension by putting those stupid breaks in should be fired. The breaks totally take you out of the movie and it is almost impossible to get re-invested in the characters and story again. After the third break, i completely lost interest and didn't care anymore what happened. If this would have been one continuous, tension filled ride this could have been a great movie. The title 'The Long Night' should have been reflected in a non-stop, uninterrupted flow taking the viewer along for the terror filled night and making them feel they were there with the characters and experiencing the fear along with them. But adding chapter breaks takes you out of the tension so you know you will be alright and nothing will happen to you. I hope someone involved with the making of this movie reads this and pays attention to what i said.

i did not want to comment on this movie as it scared the crap out of me!!! Brilliant production(just playing it safe), NOT for children or anyone with shaky nerves!!! BE WARNED, this will SCARE YOU FOR REAL!!!

Can't believe I haven't seen this yet. I loved Scout Taylor-Compton in Zombie's remakes of Halloween. Her and the scream queen Danielle Harris made the remakes a great watch. Will have to check this out at some point.
