It's history as Westerosi people know it, but don't be misled, don't take things literally and there's likely to be much more behind all this. That's good video to learn simplest basics and get some perspective if you have none, good and short. But here's some appetizers if you want to delve deeper and read/listen to some theories decyphering the myths:
- _Age of Heroes_ ? More like *Age of Liars and Felons*
- It's likely that it wasn't _sun_ but a certain *son* that hid his face for a generation, meaning Long Night was likely shorter event
- History is written by winners so don't be overly trusting in tales about 13th Lord Commander the Night's King
- Same with Bran the Builder, people likely forgot what he had actually built
- _Last Hero_ ? More like *Last Ambassador*
- _Ice spiders_ ? Ned: "Mad man sees what he sees." Remember those *wights* climbing on branches in cave?

I really hope prequel series delivers some tasty Age of Heroes content.
