4.3 one piece rear main seal replacement

Показать описание
96 Chevrolet S10 4.3 SS automatic with a leaking rear main seal. To do this job you will need to remove the transmission, no matter if it is auto or manual. As you can see from the video it was leaking pretty good. This will be the same for the 5.7 and 5.0 chevy V8 engines with a one piece rear main seal.

Im currently draining my transfer case fluid to add new one on a 2000 S10 V6 4.3L, i took the top plug off and it was draining from there already. Could i have a bad transmission rear seal?

Is it normal to have a small amount of oil drip right after this project is complete?

Is this the same procedure, or similar, for a 2004 Silverado 4.3 5speed?

Do you have to remove the oilpan to replace the paper gasket that comes with the kit?
