I got a Zimaboard recently and your videos helped me to install Proxmox and pfSense. But after installing pfSense, I can't connect to it. Can you explain how you connected Zimaboard to your network first? Is it connected directly to your ISP's modem or is it connected to your router? If router, then that defeats the purpose because we are trying to set up pfSense to act as a router. But I'm not really able to make that happen. Would love to see you do a follow-up video to explain this point. Thanks and keep up the great work!

Thanks! Had some issues with my Nics not showing as I have 6 on an appliance and only 1 showed up.

I couldn't find another video or post elsewhere with the explanation of how to add these properly. Thanks again!

Hello. Could you explain how to add a DMZ network in pfSense and then assign it to Proxmox virtualizations? Thank you.

Interesting video, but left me a little confused. The Workstation PC where I am looking to do my ProxMox install has 1 (on-board NIC) and a 4-port add-in card. Watching your video, it appears that you only have 2 and have done a pfSense install. I currently have a cable in the on-board NIC and that is set to a static address which allows me access to the HOST Dashboard (VE 8.0.9), I then set 1 port on the 4-port card to WAN Linux Bridge (vmbr40) and one to LAN (vmbr41). Is this accurate? I truly only need 2 ports total to do "host access" and pfSense?

how do you access the zimaboard (casaos etc) after installing pfsense, because the board is acting as router and I guess we need a ethernet connection from the switch to the board and there isn't a third port! what I am missing?

Does anyone know in real world practivce how much virtualization effect performance I have some 10gb nics and want to upgrade to 100gb Mellanox. I'd like to virtualize my firewall but I'm worried the extra overhead will hurt performance even with PCIe passthrough.
