Read and loved 'Outlive', you absolutely nailed it. We need to be looking bigger picture, by the time you have symptoms show up with a lot of things, it's about putting bandaids on full wound problems.

I have always loved this idea of yours. As someone currently in medical school and trying to look to the future, how do you think medicine is going to change as we move toward Medicine 3.0 and also, how long do you think it will take for Medicine 3.0 to fully integrate into our medical/health care system on a large scale?

Love it! Love you! It’s time to take back health care from health business and sick care. Thank you for articulating so well the vision of our better future. Rockstar Doc! I love it!

I prefer quality of life vs quantity of life .
I hope medicine 3.0 healthspan addresses the huge need for effective therapies and/or prevention of chronic pain .

Agreed, although an ounce of prevention would seem to be most efficacious if good health is really the point. As in, Medicine 101, not 301.

Have you ever noticed how most physicians sneer at the very idea of good preventive health measures outside their own narrow construct? I even had a fellow at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester raise his voice in irritation, saying in exasperation and incredulity, "You are expecting to be proactively healthy, not satisfied with just taking care of disease!"

[The problem was found to be mercury toxicity. Which nobody tested me for. ]

That’s what I do with my self and with my family. We prevent being sick by eating and exercising the proper way.

Medicine needs to teach children how to keep themselves healthy, and we need big pharma to not be made rich by our ignorance.

Bullseye! I don't care if I die tomorrow, but I don't want to "exist" without reasonable faculties.

I'm surprised Peter, being as specific as he is, would misprounce the term 3.0 as " three point (Oh), "., that's bad grammer. It is three dot zero, three point zero or just plain phase 3. The letter "O" has nothing to do with the number sequence.

Ok. This is great. However, the real problem. The foundational issue is that Americans consistently, habitually to do things that are detrimental to their medical and mental health for the last 60 years. They do these things every single day. You are not going to change this.

Do you mean evidence based therapies that had no randomized controlled trials?

In other words, nothing has changed. Same diagnosis, pharma and interventions with a different name. You literally said NOTHING here. Who buys this?!
