I wonder if the walking mechanic has to do with exercise? One of the best exercises for your heart is walking, and with the defibrillator concept and Revival Blessing and all, maybe it's a healing Pokemon type line and just wants to make sure you get your steps in too?

The main reason i can think of for Pawmot's evolution method is to reference them arriving from a faraway place, like the alpine marmots being brought back onto their original grounds when the species was reintroduced

I’ve always seen Pawmot as an Azumarill counterpart since electric beats water and fairy beats fighting.

They have a three stage evolution because we wanted a Pikachu clone that was a proper clone. So, since Pichu and Raichu exist, we needed the equivalent here.

The typical time "limit" for CPR is approximately 20 minutes or 1, 200 seconds. And as you do about 1 chest compression a second at an even pace in 30 second intervals and take a couple seconds to do breaths, a steady 1, 000 reps, or *steps, * sounds about right to evolve the CPR Pokémon.

A streamer i watch put it very aptly. Using a defibrillator is the human equivalent of "turning it off and on again." It literally stops your heart from beating for a moment to let it reset itself.

"Paw me, " said Pawmi. "Paw more, " said Pawmo. "Paw the most, " said Pawmot. And they paw each other until their pawing was pawed. (pawing is also one of the terms used when a cat climbs on its owner's chest or lap and starts making repetitive massage-like movements with its paws)

Speaking of big zaps, Pawmot does actually have an exclusive move: Double Shock, the Electric version of Burn Up (deal massive damage, then lose the associated Type).
Also, as a funny side effect, a Terrastalized Pokémon will never lose its Typing while under its Tera Type; Electric Pawmot can repeatedly use Double Shock, a Flying-Tera never loses its Flying Type from using Roost, etc.

I’m pretty sure Pawno evolved into Pawmot the way it does is because it’s just leg training. If you pay attention to their postures and their Dex entries, you learn that Pawmi is limited to all fours because its hind quarters are not strong enough to support it on its own. Pawmo, meanwhile, CAN stand up straight, having matured, but its battle style of fighting with its arms is still unwieldy, as it still loses balance on occasion. It’s only when you walk with it for those 1000 steps that it gets the training and confidence it needs to fight and move while standing up, resulting in the Pawmot evolution. THAT is the logic behind how the line evolves.

The one reference that i feel like is being left out that I really like about the Pawmi line is that It's also the stages of adolescences, pawmi is always crawling, and Pawmo is always waddling and until you teach it how to walk and it finally can stand up and walk regularly. Pawmo's "hands out" walking stance is literally how toddlers walk to balance themselves, its so cute

Rabsca makes sense to get revival blessing, considering the Scarab->Egypt->Resurrection train of thought, but I never understood why Pawmot also gets it. It being a defibrillator makes a lot more sense than i realized...

15:04 Chingling and Riolu. The friendship part is fine, it's the "at a certain time of day" that gets me with these 2. Notice how I didn't put Budew or Eevee in with them because I feel like Roselia, Espeon and Umbreon justify why they have to be done at a specific time of day. Chingling and Riolu feel like they have that step tacked on for no reason.
