Who else is here after seeing Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes? Crazy how this song has so many references to Snow we never knew :D !! Truly AMAZING writing. Well done! Some examples:

1. Are you, are you comin' to the tree? Where they strung up a man, they say, who murdered three" -Snow murdered three people. Which Lucy only finds out when he tries to lie about it. This song in many ways details the descent into Darkness for Snow

2. Are you, are you comin' to the tree Where dead man called out, for his love to flee? -Snow called out to Lucy Grey when she leaves him in the forest. You see as the snake bites him and he actively chooses to shoot a hallucination of Lucy Grey that he has crossed that line into evil.

3. Are you, are you comin' to the tree Where I told you to run, so we'd both be free? -Lucy tries multiple times to convince Snow to come live life with her like the Cuvey do. Away from the Capital and live a free life. But the growing darkness in Snow pulled him away from that life as he realized his own internal corruption. You can see this growth in him most notably in when his Mentor (Dr Gaul) asks him at the beginning and end of the movie. The first time, as his mind is more naive he thinks what most normal/naive people his age would think: The games are a punishment for the districts. Now a more mature, and battle hardened Snow realizes instead: The Hunger Games show us a side of our humanity that we must be very aware of. That as Lucy Gray says: "People aren't so bad, really. It's what the world does to them. I think there's a natural goodness built into human beings. You know when you've stepped across the line into evil, and it's your life's challenge to try and stay on the right side of that line."

4. Are you, are you comin' to the tree Where necklace of hope, side by side with me? -Lucy in many ways symbolizes Hope, the good nature in us as humans, and the side/path of light. Much like Snow's cousin, Lucy embodies Snow choosing peace and happiness. When he loses her, it also points to Snow losing that side of his humanity as we see his slow descent to darkness by the time the movie ends. Truly CHILLING story telling at a depth we rarely get in most movies!

I see why the new movie is the singing bird and the snake. She told snow at the end of the movie he look just like his daddy and he a snake just like his daddy. it’s in his blood, the apple don’t fall far from the hanging tree!!

Are you, are you comin' to the tree?
Where they strung up a man, they say, murdered three
Strange things did happen here, no stranger would it be
If we met up at midnight in the hanging tree
Are you, are you comin' to the tree
Where dead man called out for his love to flee?
Strange things did happen here, no stranger would it be
If we met up at midnight in the hanging tree
Are you, are you comin' to the tree
Where I told you to run, so we'd both be free?
Strange things did happen here, no stranger would it be
If we met up at midnight in the hanging tree
Are you, are you comin' to the tree
Where a necklace of rope, side by side with me?
Strange things did happen here, no stranger would it be
If we met up at midnight in the hanging tree
Are you, are you comin' to the tree
Where I told you to run, so we'd both be free?
Strange things did happen here, no stranger would it be
If we met up at midnight in the hanging tree
Are you, are you comin' to the tree?
Where they strung up a man, they say, who murdered three
Strange things did happen here, no stranger would it be
If we met up at midnight in the hanging tree
Are you, are you comin' to the tree
Where the dead man called out for his love to flee?
Strange things did happen here, no stranger would it be
