it depends on who's side the red shirt is supposed to be on. if he's on his side I think it's ok but if the black is on red side that's illegal (serves must be done behind the service line for the respective player

Let's look at it from this perspective:

Both players are buddies, so they'll mutually agree to stay on the same side and keep hitting the ball on that side. Now does that sound fun? No it doesn't, so ofcourse this is illegal
