It's the same problem you see with popular book adaptations. Studios take the core audience for granted whilst they make changes in order to try and appeal to a wider demographic. No-one ever seems to sit down and think "maybe there are new people we can appeal to who would like the original story but have never seen it before because they don't play video games, read polish novels, listen to radio dramas, etc".

I don’t trust Amazon to do this correctly with how they mishandled Rings if power. I also don’t think you can recover from the first two awful seasons, so it would be nice to reboot the show at this point.

They had no excuse to fuck it up or make it "non-canon" as a bullshit way for them to gain more freedom from their irresponsibility. If they make any excuse I would slap them HALO: FUD which was really good despite having nowhere near the budget of the TV show. It captured how threatening and eerily creepy the Covenant was to normal humans, captured how strong Hunters are, and most especially captured every essence of the young Master Chief. THAT was what Halo was like. Not this...whatever this is. The other Spartans were okay. I want them to hire the lady to play as Kelly. The dude who played Vanak was the only one who acted like a Spartan II as if he is a big fan of the games and books.

Imagine if they did make a third season and it started with Chief getting out of his Cryo Chamber and the crewmen say his heart level is up. Chief then puts his palm to his forehead and he says under his breath “Good thing that was all a bad dream.” 😂
